| The starting point for an ascent of Bishorn would normally be the Tracuit Hut, situated next to the pass of the same name, 4 to 5 hours hike from Zinal. Characteristic of Zinal is, that all hut approaches are performed of foot from the valley base, as there are no ropeways to shorten the ascent. And as the huts mostly are situated around 3000 meters or higher, this often results in long approaches. |
