Bivouacing in the mountains

Bivouacing doesn't necessarily need the inclusion of a mountain climb. In this case I've made a bivouac at Lac superior de Cheserys during a two-day hike in the Aiguilles Rouges north-west of the Chamonix valley. On this trip I made no climbs at all, and instead of carrying the heavy climbing gear, I had packed my rucksack with an excellent steak, fresh vegetables and a selected bottle of wine. And when Montblanc is coloured red from the setting sun, its picture reflected from the lake, it is difficult to imagine anything better. Well, maybe apart from this one thing!
