| Another place you have to see when visiting Karachi is one of the largest mosques, an enormous dome-shaped building where the main room under the dome offer space enough for 5000 muslims to have their prayer at the same time. The acoustics inside the dome was overwhelming, for if you were standing at the right spot, you could be heard everywhere inside the dome when speaking normally. Conversely this also meant, that in other situations the sound was ricochetting between the walls so long that it took fifteen seconds for the sound to die. |
