Closing time

Several times before I had started a longer hike in Abisko, but this time was different. We had not the intention of going on a longer hike as the mountains were expectably already deep in snow and progress would be difficult. Thus we had decided to put up a base camp at the treeline, making short day trips from here. The perfect place for this base camp would be Tältlägret about ten km south of Abisko, and even in bad weather conditions it should be possible to reach this place in a day. Arriving here it also implied that at least we had to make an attempt on one of the nearby mountains, setting our target on Kieron.
