Closing time

There were though more obstacles to surmount before we could reach Kieron, and the first was only a few hundred meters away from the camp. Tältlägret is lying right where the Pallenvagge valley open on to the plains towards Lake Torneträsk, and the waters from Pallenjå had during the centuries cut a small canyon into the bedrock. This canyon is a kind of attracktion for Pallenvagge, but to us it was a mere obstacle. It turned out to be less of a problem though, as the river so late in the season only carried a minimum of water, and even had started freezing.
