Climbing Mammouth

Compared to many other places in the Alps, the mountains of Zinal are rather quiet, as it is a long walk from the village and there are no lifts or cablecars to shorten the distance. One of the most important mountain huts is the Cabane Mountet, five hours' hike from Zinal, ascending about 1000m on the way. It is a good path going up, the last two hours traversing the steep West flank of the Besso.
