Climbing Mammouth

On this trip me and my climbing mate Christoph left the village very early, walking the first two to three hours with the headlamp. And arriving at the hut, situated on a sun-drenched rocky bench above the glacier, it is really worth the lack of sleep. Although looking rather small from the outside, it is a big hut that easily can accomodate more than 100 persons. We arrived at the hut at eight o'clock in the morning, and the guardien was ready to charge us for an overnight stay, as he didn't expects guests from the valley that early.
