A nice winter climb

In the summer you normally climb Oberrothorn by the South Flank, but this day we had set our sights on the West Flank, looking proud with a steep snow slope to right under the summit. This slope begins softly around 25°, but then gradually steepens and get close to 45° right under the summit ridge. We felt quite content with the slope, and at a steady speed we worked our way towards the goal.
