| After three days' meetings there luckily was some time to get up in the mountains. Mountaineering in the Alps in October can be quite dubious because of the approaching winter. I therefore had chosen Reiter Alpe as the most suitable place for a mountain trip, partly because it was one of the lowest massives in the Berchtesgadener Alps, partly because there from a central mountain hut were four-five mountains which could be reached within a reasonable time. |
