The best Normal Route

At this time of the summer I was well started on my long journey through the Alps, which I later on gave the very saying name "Via Alpina - a play in three acts" a title which later on gave its name to this website. We are now in August 1984, and after having played Act One around in the Urner Alps, I had now arrived in Zermatt, where I could begin Act Two. First scene was to take place here in Zermatt, and after a small intermezzo with an attempt on Schalihorn, I now could start the mountain climbs more seriously with a trip, which was to become my first mountain climb in the Pennine Alps.
