Three in one

The rock faces of Saint-Julien fall steep to both sides, but by obvious reasons, most of the climbing is made on the South face. Access to the South face is through a small col, which leads to a dusty vineyard, from which you have a very good view to the many routes on the face. Here you find routes of almost any difficulty, and most of them offer about 100 metres of climbing in three or four pitches. This visit was in April 1991, and I had arrived here with my friend Kim Sejberg. If was almost five years since last time I was here, whereas Kim hadn't been here before, and I was looking forward to show him the wonderful climbing which Saint-Julien offers.
