New route on a Zermatt mountain

The first part of the trail up to Gasthaus Edelweiss on Alterhaupt, a protruding rockface with a good view to Zermatt, was quite easy, but as we just had started we had no reason to stop for a drink. Instead we could concentrate on finding the right trail up. The main trail from Edelweiss continue towards Trift, but we would be ascending the direct trail to Höhbalmen, and after searching high and low behind the bushes, we found the narrow track. It soon got more distinct, and ascending smoothly it led up the steep grassy cliffside below Höhbalmen. The trail was quite overgrown, but the footing was firm under all the grass and small twigs, so it was a nice trail, which we had all to ourselves.
