New route on a Zermatt mountain

Following a long ascending traverse the trail led up across a small wall and reached a dried-up brook, which we followed upstream for a while, until we finally reached Höhbalmen, the wide panoramic trail leading from Trift to Arben and the Schönbiel Hut. According to the guide book we were to follow this trail a kilometre and a half westwards before ascending towards Unter Gabelhorn, but Christoph had other plans. Right above was the small hill of Hüenerchnubel, the starting point of Unter Gabelhorn SE Ridge, the longest and most complicated of the ridges. Strange enough, this ridge was not described in the guide book, the only description followed the ridge until the first step, from where the route traversed the South Flank before reaching the Normal Route at the SW couloir. That this ridge was not described had to be an omission, which we better had to check out, Christoph said.
