The highest 3000-metre peak in the Alps

Weather was fine at the beginning, but as we reached the Bellavista plateau at about 3500m we emerged into the clouds, which made it somewhat more difficult to orientate, even though there were lots of tracks in the snow. Several summits can be climbed from this plateau, and it wasn't always easy to figure out, which track was the right one. And just a few crevasses, which in good weather poses no problems, may turn into a major icefall in the fog, giving the impression of being on the way back into the icefall below.
