The last touch of winter

The day before we had hardly left Milan before driving through an impressive thunderstorm. The car was bombarded with hails the size of quail eggs, and all traffic on the motorway just stopped. We were glad that it wasn't our car and that we just had signed the full LDW insurance. The bad weather ceased during the night, and in the morning the sun was shining from a clear blue sky.
