| Through millions of years water courses have carved deep grooves in the sandstone, and up on the highland storms have sandblasted strange shapes in the massive rock. In certain places the sand has carved deep depressions and holes in and through the rocks. With the age of time these holes became arches, and one of the largest concentrations of such rocky arches is found in Arches National Park. |
