| We had hired a car in Frankfurt, and our plan was that we would start our Switzerland days in Grindelwald. But when we drove down along Thuner See we passed a sign informing about Niesen. And that name did tell me something - wasn't it this beautiful pyramidal mountain which was just outside Interlaken? We turned off, and soon we could see for ourselves. A bit later we were benched on board the cable railway, which was to take us half way up the mountain. |
