| We had traveled to Zurich by flight on December 23th and continued with the train from there, so it was late in the day before we arrived in Zermatt. It was planned that we should return home on the 26th, so at least we had two full days here. The first day weather was not so inviting, with a light snowfall, but it cleared in the late morning. So to get out and have some fresh air we took the cable car up to Sunnegga and walked through the snow to Tufteralp, hoping that we could get something hot to drink there. But unfortunately the hut there was closed. |
