| Towards the end of 2014 Erik had noticed that the tree was beginning to lean. Certainly only a little bit, but it was clearly enough when we made a closer inspection of the tree. There was no doubt that it was the missing root being the reason for the lean, because the tree was leaning in just that direction. And even worse, it was leaning in the direction of the house. So we better had to fell this tree before we had a westerly gale taking the tree down. So for a start Erik removed a row of larger branches. He couldn't do anything with the owl's nesting box, as it had like become a part of the tree. |
