To the top of Mt. Fuji

Well knowing that for most Japanese persons, Mount Fuji is more like a sanctuary to them, it could not surprise me that the climb had its starting point in a temple for the Shiinto religion, which is the state religion in Japan, and in Lonely Planet I could see where this temple was located. It is always a hassle to find the start of a hiking route, especially when it takes place in a city, but actually it was not very difficult here in Fujiyoshida, even though I don't understand a word in Japanese.
