Especially highly he spoke of the route up through Huntington Ravine, which was said to be the most difficult hike in White Mountains, and Alex was of the idea that I should be able to handle this challenge. The following week we had returned to the cabin, which I had rented for one more night, and the following morning he took us from the cabin to Pinkham Notch, which was the starting point for Huntington Ravine.
