| Taunus was indeed a hilly forested area - but it also seemed to be more vigorous than I had become used to from the Harz, which mostly was one big plantation. While Taunus here was a more mixed forest, although there were not so many watercourses in the valleys as there were in the Harz. But maybe there here to a larger extent gain drinking water to the large city of Frankfurt, which only was about twenty kilometres away. |
