24 hours in Tokyo

I did not know much about Japan, but knew at least that the whole country is built by volcanoes, and that earthquakes therefore is happening on a daily base in Tokyo, the capital. But one should think that the Japanese either flout the risk of earthquakes, or have some brilliant architects and building constructors. I choose to believe the latter, because when I went to my previously booked hotel in the city's business area, I was overwhelmed by the many tall buildings, which had been erected to make room for the many offices.
