| Therefore I decided to put that stage on hold and do a closer look on the next stage, which thus started in Sälen, a place I had heard a lot about from my travel mate Erik, who usually vacation here for a couple of weeks in the winter season. So even though this place was a typical cross-country skiing area I should not feel deterred from attempting to do a hike from here. With the bus I reached Högfjällshotellet in Sälen, from where the Kungsleden trail had its start. And happily I saw that this start actually was marked with its own portal! |
