I have actually always felt attracted to the wide nature, which exists in the USA, but I have often felt split between on one hand that there were so many places I would like to see if I managed to get there, while on the other hand did not have the money to do such a long trip as this would need. But in 1997 I had a talk with a newyorker, and he offered that I could stay with him for a couple of days, so that I this way had the possibility to get a first-hand impression of the USA. And in February 1998 I received an offer of a cheap flight which was too good to miss, and thus could go to New York for an extended weekend.
