the expedition
We have now established Camp 3 (High Camp) in the altitude of 24.280 ft. The
sun is shining from a clear, blue sky, the weather is perfect, and the whole
team is in good spirits. We now have the options of climbing the summits of
Kangchungtse and Chomolönzo in 25.067 ft. and 25.559 ft. respectively. But our
primary goal is of course Makalu 1, 27.767 ft., and we plan to make the first
summit attempt coming Wednesday.
