A good looker

For many years a large pine tree had been standing outside Erik's summer cabin in Ellingelyng, and it had received a lot of sun and rain. It other words, it thrived very well. Probably almost too well. And during the years a carport had been built close to the western side of the tree. Which didn't made any problems. But when the area was to be provided with sewers a large root was lopped when the drain pipes were put down, and thus the final destiny of the tree indirectly was sealed and it was time to move.
