Rocky Mountain N.P.

Rocky Mountain National Park was not far from Denver, so it was no surprise that there were many visitors from this big city making a weekend trip or just a day's outing to this National Park. Just before the entrance to the National Park and easily accessible by no less than three highways was the town of Estes Park, which logically was the main approach road to the national park. So obviously Erik and I had also planned that it was there that we should stay the night. And very suitably there was a dammed lake below the town, Lake Estes, which increased the amenity values considerably.
