This view set fire under my mountaineering genes, and the following year it felt natural, that I now had to climb Kåtotjåkka as my fifth summit. Thus obviously the start of my hike of this year became a route along the right bank of Alesätno, where I established a camp at the foot of Kåtotjåkka, and from there found my way up to the snowclad summit. Kåtotjåkka has an elevation of 1991 metres, and I could easily imagine that there were no other mountains on the European continent being taller than this. Pictures from this climb do not exist digitally though.
