Bivouacing in the mountains

It is the high season for Alpine climbing for the moment, and thus I have chosen to focus on an important part of mountain climbing experiences, the outdoor bivouacing. Several reasons for renouncing the comfort of the mountain huts for one or more nights can be mentioned, and often it is not just for money-saving reasons. Choosing the bivy bag instead of the mountain hut, it is possible to stay the night almost any place you wish, and you will not be disturbed by the ever-present snorer, found in almost any hut. When choosing a bivouac it is possible to get much closer to the mountain, giving more time available for the ascent itself. Just like in this case, where me and my mate have made a bivouac at the foot of Dent du Géant, about an hour and a half from the hut.
