| Kitzbüheler Horn can be reached much too easy from Kitzbühel, as a cable car is running right from here to the very summit, but coming from St. Johann the nearest starting point is Harschbichl, a small shoulder on the north side of the mountain and easily reached by cable car. From here there were two natural routes up: either a longer traverse east to the North-East Ridge, which at a moderate angle could be followed to the summit, or a more difficult option by climbing directly about half way up the North Ridge, from where you could traverse the North-West Flank and thus reach the ski runs to Kitzbühel. |
