Mainzer Höhenweg

Although you hike below the impressive Puitkogel during the whole ascent from the Chemnitzer Hut, it is difficult to keep the eyes from the just as impressive Wazespitze in Kaunergrat on the opposite side of the Pitz valley. With an elevation of 3533m, Wazespitze is the highest peak of Kaunergrat, a true monarch which you immediately recognise, even at a long distance.
