Climbing Mammouth

The 3219m high peak of Mammouth is not a mountain you spontaneous will notice. Situated amidst the Swiss Alps and dwarfed by the majestic Dent Blanche, it more or less looks like a rocky outcrop protruding from the talus. But I always find it interesting to climb the less visited mountains to avoid the crowd, and Mammouth can be climbed on a day when weather does not allow for the longer trips. The picture shows a part of the mountain circus above the Swiss village of Zinal, dominated by Dent Blanche and Mammouth being the few black pixels on the lower right.
