| If you don't know about Iran, you probably will be surprised to know, that Iran actually is a quite mountainous country, having about fifty mountains with an elevation above 4000 meters. The mountains start right outside the capital city of Tehran, rising towards to Tochal massive, within walking distance of the Tehran suburb Darband. Tochal, the highest of these mountains, was one of several mountains I had set my eyes upon when in May 2003 I visited Iran together with Erik Storm. |
