I bought my first reflex camera in September 1980 and therefore wished that 1980 should be the first year I should select pictures from. Obviously I immediately thought about selecting a picture from my first trip to France and Switzerland, which I did the month after, but had to realize that all the pictures I took in 1980 were taken on slides, which at this time in 2017 did not have the possibility to convert to digital pictures. Instead I go forward one month and have selected this picture from January 1981, where I am on a ski trip in Geilo and do alpine skiing for my first and only time.
